Ledge Hanging Lamp Sends Interior Design Over the Edge

Add (l)edge to your interior house design with the Ledge Hanging Lamp by designer Tim Wigmore. Not only is it sleek, sexy and clever, it’s also wholly environmentally friendly, as it was produced only out of recycled materials. According to Wigmore, the lamp is also an invitation extended to modern society, which seems to state ‘reuse, upcycle, repurpose.’ Wonderfully creative new items can be born out of scrap. The lamp is very space efficient as well. It can be placed on a wall and serve as a shelf in no need of extra consoles. You can have it put in in the corner of a room. You can even go as far as using it as a small desk for your reading or working area.

Your interior house designs will be rendered more dynamic by the lamp’s lightweight feel and structure. It makes use of a recycled aluminum frame that keeps the entire structure together. According to the designer himself, the simple frame helps highlight the “random and colourful scraps of signage and contrasts them with a context of sleek refinement.” Wigmore purposely decided to challenge the way in which the lamp’s owner interacts with their home, by finding all sorts of new, innovative ways to use the lamp. Or as Wigmore would put it, “The Ledge Lamp helps alter our perception of the old and unloved, whilst empowering us to be bold and playful.”
